Shipping policy

All orders are processed within 2 to 3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. For home delivery, you will receive another notification when your order has shipped.
There is always a chance that due to increased sales that some orders may take longer during busy periods.

Domestic Shipping Rates and Estimates
For calculated shipping rates: Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. There is the option for in shop collection on any of our books, which will be free of charge when selected.

In-shop pickup
You can skip the shipping fees with free local pickup at October Books: 189 Portswood Road, SO172NF. After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up within two to four days. We will send you an email when your order is ready. Please provide your surname to the person behind the till, and they will bring you your order.
Our in-store pickup hours are 10am-5:30pm Monday through Saturday. Pickup can be made anytime the shop is open.

How do I check the status of my order?
When your order has shipped, you will receive an email or text notification from Royal Mail, which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48-72 hours for the tracking information to become available.
If you haven’t received your order within 5-7 days of receiving your confirmation email, please contact us at info@octoberbooks.com with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.

Shipping to P.O. boxes
Some carriers have limitations around shipping to P.O. Boxes. If a problem occurs with this we will be in touch arrange alternative delivery
