That Broke into Shining Crystals by Richard Scott
This collection has been selected as the Poetry Book Society's Spring Choice, so I thought it ought to be here too! Scott's work is known for its lyrical intensity and exploration of personal and universal themes, and this book is no different. A beautiful edition to your Spring reading list
"Altar" by Desree
Released by Bad Betty Press and published 25th of March! Desree's poetry delves into themes of identity, culture, and personal experience, it offers a powerful and resonant voice that is unmistakable.
"There Lives a Young Girl in Me Who Will Not Die" by Tove Ditlevsen
Published by Penguin Books in January 2025 this is not so new but is one a picked up recently and have devoured, it is an easy yet tough read, it deals with many topics that can be hard to grapple with, but Tove is a master at work and she carries each poem til the very end with a distinct charm. This collection presents a selection of Ditlevsen's poetry translated into English for the first time. The poems explore themes of longing, loss, and memory, reflecting on the inner child's perspective.
