Poetry Fundraiser Saturday the 15th of February

Valentine’s weekend is the perfect time to celebrate love in all its forms. We’re fundraising to love our community-owned bookshop through tough times. Join us October Books for an afternoon of rolling poetry performances from local writers. Drop-in any time. Stay for as long as you like. 

Let’s be honest: it’s not easy being an independent bookshop today. Like many others, we’re facing tough times. But we’re hopeful because we know the power of community and because of you reading this. Every ticket purchased, every book bought, every poem shared helps us keep our doors open and our shelves stocked. 

Drop in anytime and stay as long as you like on Saturday 15th February, 2.30pm-5.00pm. Your £5 ticket not only supports us but also gives you 10% off any books you buy on the day.
