Half Arse Interview: Asking Leena Norms

Half Arse Interview: Asking Leena Norms

What are you most excited to see in Southampton? (if anything)

I’d love to spot any sights related to Jane Austen, and I’ve heard great things about the local businesses (including October Books) so I’m looking forward to having a good old ‘mooch’.

Have you ever heard about October Books? and if not what was your first impression!

It’s one of my dear friend’s favourite bookshops - she’s always raved about it so I’m excited to come and see what all the fuss is about!

What can we expect from an evening with Leena Norms?

Lots of giggles, jokes about bums, a pep-talk and a chance to meet some fellow local half-arsers.

Favourite author at the moment?

I’ve been loving making my way through Sarah Moss’s backlist!

And finally a book recommendation aside from the obvious ;)

For non-fiction: I JUST finished John Green’s Everything is Tuberculosis and it was wonderful, but I’m also forever recommending Girly Drinks by Mallory O'Meara.

For fiction one I don’t think gets shouted about enough is Someday, Maybe by Onyi Nwabinel

(we have all those available to order online btw)

There's a few seats left to join us and Leena to talk all things Half Arse Human and more, this Friday 4th April! Tix £5 (redeem against copy of the book) https://octoberbooks.lemonbooking.com/events/87/details
