Did someone say live music in a bookshop?
Share
We have always supported creatives in all their forms in our community and beyond. That's why we are proud of the fact that our space is not only a bookshop and community hub but has also become an intimate gig venue. We have been honoured to host musicians like The Bookshop Band, Paul Armfield and local poets like Katt Roberts. Coming up we are very excited to be hosting Hayden Thorpe's LIVE performance of his new album Ness, kicking off his bookshop tour on November 27th.
Music and books are both forms of expression, and we believe that something special happens in our shop when they come together. Whether it’s a local band, a solo artist, an acoustic set, the live music events we host help create a sense of belonging, where we can connect with each other in a way that feels personal and real in a world that is often very disconnected. We don't want live music to die in our city, so we are ready to hang about the shop after-hours if it means we can facilitate that space.
We would love to host more quality live music at our shop and are always open to new enquiries, do get in touch if you want to find out more. If you are interested in volunteering to support our live music events please do reach out!
