Children's Christmas Classics

Children's Christmas Classics

We loved having Reet with us for the week last week. She was doing her work experience and one of the tasks she completed while she was with us was to curate and create our children's Christmas book display.

A few of our favourites from her list are The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy, a beautiful book filled with the simple story of the boy and his more than human friends. Delightfully illustrated this one you can sit and watch the film together after you have read the book (still available on iplayer).

We also love the classic The Snowman based on the classic story Raymond Briggs, the magical tale of the flying snowman, which is now celebrating its 40th anniversary would you believe. Another one to watch with the littluns after having a read.

Our final contemporary classic is How the Grinch Stole Christmas,  from the iconic Dr Seuss. This favourite story is filled with joy, love and acceptance. Have fun!
