Oud Wanderings

Following the success of the Bookshop Band we are very pleased to welcome Abderraouf Ouertani and Susannah Knights composition of music and narration in Oud Wanderings, on Thursday 8th August in the bookshop space, 6.45pm for a 7pm start.
We will listen to Ouertani’s compositions – some of which are recent compositions, others from many years ago – interspersed with the story of a long journey that he undertook between Istanbul and India. Together, the evening will explore themes of spirituality, senses of home, and journeying. 

Abderraouf and Susannah met as anthropology students at the EHESS, Paris, and this UK tour allows Susannah an opportunity to return Abderrouf’s hospitality from her time in Tunisia and to rediscover the UK through their journey! Tickets £5 here
