BookTok, the niche community on TikTok dedicated to book lovers and independent bookshop goers has gained immense popularity for its ability to turn books into viral sensations. From gripping thrillers to heartwarming romances, BookTok has introduced various books to readers worldwide. What’s interesting about what’s trending, is it’s not only focused on new books but more about finding new cult classics like the phenomenal Minor Detail by Adania Shibli or reviving old classics such as We Have Always Lived In The Castle by Shirley Jackson. Both of these are personal favourites of mine and I’m happy to see them being talked about!
