Meet the Team: Suzanne

Name: Suzanne (she/her)

Role: I support the running of the Community Space which includes supporting hirers, promoting the space to increase hires, putting on OB events with other team member and carrying out all things associated with this. I am our volunteer co-ordinator and support our wonderful volunteers from recruitment, to inductions and then support. I also am let out on the till most weeks.

Your OB Story:  I was a customer beforehand, I always enjoyed visiting the shop when in Portswood and bought most of my books there. I got to know Clare and was amazed that the idea of buying the bank was pulled off!! I have worked in the shop since 2021 covering Jess’s maternity cover.  I have managed to stay on longer thanks to funders which I am very grateful too.

Passionate About: The power of people coming together to bring the change they want, being resourceful with what we have in front of us, being out and about in nature and adventures on bikes. 

Recommends: Finding out what is happening in the community space and spreading the word to friends and family that might enjoy them.
