Local favourites and The Other Side of Hope
This week we have restocked our Local History shelves with a few titles that we haven’t had in for a while. In addition to the ever popular A Walk up the Avenue and A Walk Around the Common by Ally Hayes and Wendy Stokes we also have copies of the following titles:
Southampton History Tour
Secret New Forest
Lost Railways of Hampshire
Waterside Walks in Hampshire
A Mountain Bike Guide to Hampshire and the New Forest
The above are great gifts for friends or family who might want to explore more locally.
A new stock item that we have in this week is a Literary Magazine called The Other Side of Hope. A wonderful publication edited by migrants and refugees. The 130 pages are packed with writing by migrants: 7 short stories, 17 poems, 5 non-fiction pieces, an author interview, artworks and 5 collaborative poems written by young refugees from Young Roots.
There are copies in our poetry section and you can find out more about The Other Side of Hope here.
