Kick4Life co-founder Steve Fleming will be joining us in the shop to speak about and sign copies of his book Radical Football.

Football can - and must - change the world! Radical Football, tells a compelling human story of Football for Good, from the gangland streets of Colombia and the slums of Mumbai, to the creation of Common Goal, a global movement which seeks to transform the football industry and put purpose at the heart of the game. This incredible story of one of the world's most innovative social entrepreneurs captures Jürgen Griesbeck's passion, drive and leadership in uniting fans, players, administrators and innovators in a collective mission to unleash the power of football for the benefit of people and the planet. It presents a hopeful vision for football's future.

Steve Fleming is the co-founder of Kick4Life FC, a multi award-winning charity, social enterprise and football club based in Lesotho in Southern Africa. The organisation has reached more than 100,000 orphans and vulnerable children through health, education, gender and employability programmes, as well as providing structured training and employment opportunities to hundreds of young people via its hospitality enterprises – No.7 Restaurant and the Hokahanya Inn & Conference Centre. In 2020 Kick4Life FC became the first top-flight football club in the world to commit to gender equal pay and budgets, and Steve has worked globally through the organisation’s training and consultancy service, Kick4Life Assist. He is author of Eleven: Stories of Development through Football, published in 2010 (shortlisted for the Peace & Sport Special Jury Award) and was named in the Beyond Sport Inspirational 50 in 2015.
