Our favourite day of the year is here: World Book Day ®
This year @worldbookdayuk is championing children’s reading choices, encouraging all children to Read Your Way. Every reader is different, and there’s no right or wrong way to enjoy reading. Here’s how we are supporting World Book Day…
A mountain of boxes descended on the shop, with over 3000 books ready to be sorted. These books have been donated by us free to local schools as we are passionate about inspiring children in the wonder of reading.
Jack, our new team member, has sorted all the books and boxed them ready for collection. The most popular titles from the schools this year are: Loki Tales Of A Bad God by Louie Stowell followed closely by Marv & The Ultimate Superpower Pack by Alex Falase-Koya.
We have a good stock of the titles here in the shop for children to exchange for their World Book Day tokens, or they can use them to receive a £1 discount off any of our wonderful selection of Children’s books.
We hope that World Book Day inspires many children in the city about the love of reading and we look forward to welcoming children and families into the shop to redeem their vouchers.
