Our April Best Sellers!
April was quite a month at October Books, with our events themed around our relationship to the sea seriously influencing the purchases made in the shop! This is the kind of thing we love to see - our events feeding into actions, feeding into reading, feeding back into actions.
Elsewhere, our sale on Booker and Jhalak Prize longlisted titles translated into a big boost in sales for some really brilliant and unique titles like The Birthday Party and Time Shelter (two big favourites around here!).
Other classics continue to be popular, with both The Handmaid’s Tale and Ulysses creeping back into the top 20, while our local authors continue to absolutely smash the competition, with Ally Hayes & Wendy Stokes taking the top spot again with their A Walk Around the Common.
