Narnia coming to Bitterne Park and St Denys
Looking for things to do with the children these winter holidays, or perhaps you are a fan of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and would like to relive the story? If so, the head along to the Narnia-inspired Christmas trail in Bitterne Park and St Denys from the 11th December.
The trail, which is being promoted by Bitterne Park Family Fun, will see the local area transformed into a winter wonderland fully of childhood magic, as participants decorate their windows and front gardens. People are invited to explore the familiar scenes and lovable characters from the classic C.S. Lewis story, ‘The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe’, including the iconic wardrobe, the Victorian lamppost, the dazzling White Witch and the awesome lion Aslan.
There will also be a special ‘treasure hunt’ trail around St Denys, where people can look for the gifts given to the Pevensey children by Father Christmas. Be one of the first ten people to complete the trail and you will win a free Narnia chronicles book donated by October Books. Of course, if you’d like to buy other books in the Narnia Chronicles set then we are offering a 10% discount on all Narnia titles.
If you would like to make a donation towards the cost of the books that we are giving away, please do pop in to the shop or send us an email info@octoberbooks.org with Narnia in the subject line.
For anyone who wants to get involved, the organisers are encouraging people to decorate their windows with lights, snow and Narnian silhouettes, which can be found online here . For maps of the trails and more information please check out the Facebook page here . Maps will also be available in the shop.
Enjoy!!
