Departure and Return by Denis Wong

Come and join Arvind Sivaramakrishnan in conversation with local author Denis Wong, who will be talking about his book “Departure and Return”. The book covers four generations of Denis’s family, each involved in migrations to and from China. The story involves the turbulent histories of Britain and China, and the struggles of communities within them.

This is the first in a new series of author hosted events, a slightly different format from our usual October Books hosted book launches. Due to the significant changes in our staff team over the previous six months, we are really grateful to have local authors who are willing to self host and organise their events. This really helps to minimise the amount of time and resources we spend organising these events whilst allowing us to continue to offer local authors a place to talk about their work and connect with our community.
