Covid Precautions at October Books

Covid rules are lifting on July 19th but we would really appreciate your continued care and consideration.

Covid cases are still high locally and nationally and we’re very aware some of our staff are in vulnerable groups and many have still only received a single jab.

To help keep our staff, volunteers and community safe we are asking customers to continue to leave that extra space, sanitise their hands and pull on their mask.

We will continue to try to keep our shop well ventilated, hold events with covid safety in mind and in general try and make sure that people feel safe visiting us.

Thank you, we know that after over a year of covid restrictions people are eager for things to return to normal. We hope that when more people have been fully vaccinated transmission will decrease enough for these precautions to no longer be necessary.


We are open:

Monday - Saturday

10am - 4pm

We are back open six days a week, with the whole store open for browsing. We will still of course be taking customer orders and you will still be able to buy food and cleaning products online through our online store. 

We are able to be open 6 days a week again because of your consideration and care whilst in the shop.
