Come and celebrate October books community garden

Come and celebrate October books community garden

Did you know that there is a growing green space at the back of our shop?

A space where you can come and sit and read, away from the hustle and bustle of the High Street?

We are officially opening the space to the public and will also be hosting a plant and seed swap and a sharing of ideas and information about other co-operative growing and gardening ventures in our city, such as Primrose Cottage, Southampton National Park City, Front Gardens Plus, Bitterne Park Growing Places, Southampton Allotment and Gardens Association and a demo of a rat proof composting bin from Transition Southampton. Come along and join us and our friends from Co-ops Southampton and Southampton Friends of Co-operation

This is a drop in session between 12 and 4pm on Saturday 23rd April so do come along and join us when you can. Our Conversation Cafe will also be open for the day so there’ll be tea, coffee and vegan cakes too.  See you there

We are open:

Monday - Saturday

10am - 5.30 pm

We are back open six days a week, with the whole store open for browsing. We will still of course be taking customer orders and you will still be able to buy food and cleaning products online through our online store.

We are able to be open 6 days a week again because of your consideration and care whilst in the shop. Though things are opening up, covid cases are still high and a lot of our staff have only received one jab. So we are asking customers to continue to leave that extra space, sanitise their hands and pull on their mask. We really appreciate it.
