'Sure, you could say that this exhibition is about buildings. After all, there are buildings in all of my drawings. But I like to think it’s more than just that. It’s about my love of line and my deep attachment to Southampton. For me the two are inseparable. On a building you can map the lines of a place like age on skin. Buildings are our memories, habits, landmarks and homes. They are us.' -Ann Ridley
