Wainwright Prize Shortlist announced

The Wainwright Prize shortlist was announced this week with some great titles in the running for the various categories. The Prize for Nature Writing shortlist as follows:

• Local by Alistair Humphries

• Late Night by Michael Malay

• Bothy by Kat Hill

• Dispersals by Jessica J. Lee

• Rural by Rebecca Smith

• The Garden Against time by Olivia Laing

• Uprooting by Marchelle Farrell

The Prize for Writing on Conservation includes some great reads that we have had in the shop for the past few months and is:

• It’s not just You by Tori Tsui

• Nature’s Ghosts by Sophie Yeo

• Wasteland by Oliver Franklin-Wallis

• Fire Weather: a true story from a hotter world by John Vaillant (out in Paperback 29th August)

And finally the Prize for Children’s Writing on Nature and Conservation has been whittled down to:
