We had a really engaging session last month on what it’s like to write positively and how this might inform longer work, exploring ideas of the self in our writing, as well as what it means to write exclusively from someone else's perspective.

There is no set theme or expectation at our sessions, simply bring yourself, and - if you like - some writing!

There is generally enough time to cover 3-4 pieces during the session, after a broader discussion about writing in general. If you’d like to share your work, do feel free to send x1 A4 sized page to info@octoberbooks.org, under the subject heading FAO PORTSWOOD WRITERS’ CIRCLE. This will mean we can send it out to attendees before the session begins.

We’re so excited to be able to host such a broad range of exciting voices in our very own Community Space, and to cultivate the cultural ecology of Portswood. If you want to be part of that ecology, make sure you're in The Portswood Writers’ Circle!
