#SignForOurBookshops is a national show of support from UK authors, urging people to keep buying through bookshops by offering exclusive signed bookplates to customers. Dreamed up by YA author Holly Bourne, there are now over 200 authors are taking part so far, including Matt Haig, Dolly Alderton, Malorie Blackman, Michael Rosen, David Nicholls, Jack Monroe and so many more.

What’s a signed bookplate?

A book plate is a sticky label, signed by the author you can affix to the inside of your book! This makes your book super-special, or perhaps gives that festive gift a bit of an upgrade(!)

Search #SignForOurBookshops on social media and see if the author is offering this very excellent service.

Drop them a line with your proof of purchase.

Wait for the postman to deliver your signed bookplate to affix to your purchase from OB!

There’s a limited window, as these authors might get cramp from signing all those bookplates! So hurry hurry - they will only be doing this until December 2nd.
