November Art Exhibition

Our art exhibition in November presents photos and paintings buy local Highfield residents Martin and Christine Benning. We will be hosting a launch event on Friday 3rd November, 5pm - 7pm and their work will be on display and sale throughout November. Please check our Events calendar for access times.

Christine and Martin are local Highfield residents who have taken up new hobbies in retirement.  Martin is interested in looking at patterns in the environment and Christine is inspired by the use of colour. Both attended Leisure courses at Southampton City College and online courses with the Workers’ Educational Association (WEA.org.uk) as well as going to local workshops. Christine is now a member of Chandlers Ford Art Group and also attends a a painting group in Southampton which is coordinated by local artist, Colleen Cockcroft.  She has learned a lot by painting alongside the other artists at the sessions.

Sales from a number of exhibits will be donated to Southampton Food Bank.
