In store now! Humor by Stanley Donwood
Welcome to Stanley Donwood's fictional universe: a landscape of dark streets and high-rise concrete, creeping shadows and shifting perspectives; its citizens forever caught between boredom and paranoia, alive to the threat of menacing machines and Aliens from Outer Space. Here disappearances (people, things) are everyday.
Relationships are unstable. Nature has turned unnatural. Unsettling dreams segue into waking nightmares
The iconic artist and famed Radiohead illustrator here presents his first collection of short stories. Dark, eerie, and - as the title suggests - often very funny, Humor is also lavishly illustrated by Donwood himself. A perfect Christmas present for fans of music and fiction alike!

Humor by Stanley Donwood
Paperback £10.99.
In Humor, Stanley Donwood reveals himself as a contemporary master of the micro-narrative, riffing on the four humors of the human body - sanguine, phlegm, choler and melancholy - to rummage beneath the veneer of sanity that passes for civilised society. Apocalyptic, funny and hallucinogenic in their intensity, these stories present a series of brief, haunting episodes in a world drained of meaning, sense and consequence.

We are back open six days a week, with the whole store open for browsing. We will still of course be taking customer orders and you will still be able to buy food and cleaning products online through our online store.
We are able to be open 6 days a week again because of your consideration and care whilst in the shop. Though things are opening up, covid cases are still high and a lot of our staff have only received one jab. So we are asking customers to continue to leave that extra space, sanitise their hands and pull on their mask. We really appreciate it.
