In store now! Replace Me by Amber Husain
Amber Husain, writer for the London Review of Books and Radical Philosophy, among others, turns her attention to one of the most pressing issues of our age: Replacement. Anxieties about Replacement are a common complaint of the 21st century experience, whether it’s at work, on our social media platforms, or even something more nefarious, Husain interrogates the issue with her signature empathy and intellectual aplomb. Ultimately, she poses a fundamentally important question: How can we reclaim the desire for collective resistance? Pick up Replace Me, and find out!

Replace Me by Amber Husain
Paperback £6
From the workplace to our personal relationships, anxieties about being replaced have come to dominate the late-capitalist psyche. Tech and self-help industries have exploited these fears, selling gadgets and ideologies that offer a privatised vision of ‘progress’. How can we reclaim the desire for collective resistance?
In this wide-ranging essay, critic Amber Husain asks if our obsession with replacement might in fact be at the heart of political stasis. Radical, clear-sighted, and moving, Replace Me is at once a repudiation of myths of replacement and a celebration of the political possibilities inherent in embracing our own replaceability.

We are back open six days a week, with the whole store open for browsing. We will still of course be taking customer orders and you will still be able to buy food and cleaning products online through our online store.
We are able to be open 6 days a week again because of your consideration and care whilst in the shop. Though things are opening up, covid cases are still high and a lot of our staff have only received one jab. So we are asking customers to continue to leave that extra space, sanitise their hands and pull on their mask. We really appreciate it.
