Did you know we work extensively with our local schools?
It’s obvious that at October Books we love reading, and hope to inspire the generations below us to share that love. We’re so committed to this goal in fact, that we provide over 4000 free books a year on World Book Day. It doesn’t stop there however; we also work closely with Reading Buddies, a scheme set up by the University of Southampton to encourage younger readers to strengthen their relationships with the printed word.
Even more excitingly though, we also offer an incredible 20% discount on orders of x 15 or more books! Local primary school, Mount Pleasant Junior, updated their library in 2023, tasking us with the job of completely restocking their shelves! It was a win-win: Mount Pleasant was able to do this work on a budget whilst supporting local business.
