Amelia and Jack's away day

We are really proud of Amelia and Jack, who represented October Books at the Booksellers network summer party. Hosted by the booksellers association in partnership with Harper Collins, in London a couple of weeks ago. An all expenses paid trip to the city and an evening with The Shard as the neighbouring building, with many other independent bookshops represented.

Our dynamic duo spoke about all that we do at October Books, our events, our book curation by our members and customers, our community business model and more. The feedback from other booksellers and the Harper Collins team was positive and all said that we offer something very unique.
Amelia and Jack really enjoyed the day, despite the exhaustion of travelling in and out of London and were very excited that the lift in the building had a bellboy. Amelia enjoyed making connections with other booksellers and Harper Collins representatives and Jack came back with a promise of a new scanner for the shop, which has since arrived.

We are so lucky to have two such talented and capable young team members to represent us out in the world and champion the future of bookselling.
